Job Title: Health & Safety Officer
Name: Division: Operations Site: Head Office /On Site Reports To: Directors
Maintain excellent Health and Safety filing system standards and carry out audits as necessary. Work with the administration team within the office and liaise with site staff and company management to ensure the smooth running of our health and safety system. Work with all team members to ensure continuous development and improvements to our standards.
JOB DETAILS:

Prepare method statements and prepare Site Specific Safety Plans in conjunction with Project Managers.
Setup Safety File on sites and ensure it is updated throughout the duration of the project.
Ensure on-site Safety Stations are correctly set up and maintained.
Liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Manager and H&S Consultant to ensure we are compliant with H&S regulations and keep up to date with revisions.
Liaise with sub-contractors on safety paperwork and send out preliminary health and safety plans. Where necessary, assist sub-contractors to setup Health and Safety Statements and Method Statements (per our template).
Read and evaluate Sub-Contractors report from previous jobs. Flag any issue on evaluation reports of their performance.
Check access, egress, fire evacuation, hoarding, signage, ESB, etc.
Complete AF2 and submit.
Assist the Tendering Department in Quality Assessments during tender stage.
Attend pre-contract meetings and prepare pre-start documentation.
Set up and run a Health & Safety Committee. Arrange, chair, or attend monthly health and safety meetings, complete audits, update paperwork, deal with paperwork issues, complete H&S reports.
Set up a H&S Auditing Schedule at the beginning of each project and ensure compliance with same.
Training Schedule: assist in the updating of employee training schedule including carrying out
